Conditions we commonly treat
We have success in treating the conditions below, grouped by the areas Dr. Hedy Chen focuses on. If you don’t see yours, it’s still worth asking.
Inside the clinic
What we do
Nothing in the body works as an island. Each system depends on the others — if one falters, the whole body bears the consequences. Our integrated approach combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and bodywork to address the root cause, not just the symptom.

Traditional formulas tailored to body constitution and condition.
Mild electrical current triggers deeper muscle and nerve work.
Warming therapy used to support circulation and overall resilience.
Fire-heated glass cups draw circulation upward and release deep muscle tightness.
Smooth-edged tool work to improve circulation and relieve pain.
Pain and Restoration
Precise manual therapy that releases restricted fascia — the connective-tissue web surrounding muscles and joints. Restrictions here often hold the body in painful patterns long after the original injury. Dr. Hedy Chen works layer by layer to restore alignment, mobility, and circulation, so tissue can heal rather than compensate.
Needling aimed directly at the knotted bands of muscle that refer pain across the body. Releasing these points eases both the local knot and the wider pattern it feeds.
Cupping applied with clinical intent — lifting and decompressing restricted tissue to restore glide between muscle layers and improve blood flow where healing has stalled.
Assisted stretching that works with the nervous system rather than against it — releasing protective tension so joints and muscles can return to their full range.
Supportive Wellness
Therapeutic-grade oils, brought into a session only when they serve your treatment plan.
Every patient’s situation is different. We have success in treating far more than we can list here — from Bell’s palsy to fertility to facial rejuvenation. Book a visit, or start with a conversation.
Private Specialty Consultations
These sessions draw on Dr. Hedy Chen’s training beyond her clinical practice. They are separate from acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatment, and are offered privately by request.
A personalized consultation drawing on Ba Zi 八字 (Four Pillars) and classical naming principles to help select a Chinese name aligned with an individual’s chart. This method is often used for newborn naming or for adults looking to align with their personal energy, balance missing elements, and support overall success.
An advisory session using Qi Men Dun Jia 奇門遁甲, a classical Chinese method of situational and timing analysis, to consider direction and timing around significant personal or professional decisions.
Theta Healing is a meditation-based technique in which you will be guided into a very relaxed meditative state, often associated with theta brainwaves, calm and more open to positive change and healing. Many people describe it as stress melting away, leaving a more balanced state in which patterns that no longer serve them can be released.
