Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Hedy Chen is a nationally certified acupuncturist and world-recognized Chinese medical professional. My approach to healing
Pain and anxiety are alarms — your body telling you something needs attention. Symptom care turns the alarm off, but it doesn’t address the spark. My work is to look for the root, then guide your body back to its own balance.
Much of my work sits where Eastern and Western medicine meet, along two threads that interest me most — immunity, and the relationship between emotional and physical health. In Chinese medicine these two, body and mind, are inseparable.
Every patient receives a thorough evaluation. I use modern language to explain what is happening physiologically through Chinese medicine’s lens — so you understand not just what we’re doing, but why. Listening and understanding sit at the heart of my practice.
Press & Speaking
Over the years Dr. Hedy Chen has written for local press and spoken to community health groups across the Georgetown area.
